The Stakeholder Engagement on Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) in Nigeria, organized by the Chartered Institute of Transport Administration (CIOTA), was successfully held on January 28, 2025, at NICON Luxury Hotel, Abuja. The event brought together key stakeholders in the transport sector to discuss innovative solutions for enhancing road safety, traffic management, and enforcement through technology.

The Head of ICT, FCT Directorate of Road Traffic Services (DRTS), Mr. Auwalu Mohammed, delivered a compelling presentation on “Digital Enforcement and Compliance System in Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA).” His presentation highlighted the critical role of technology in improving road traffic enforcement, ensuring compliance, and enhancing service delivery in the FCT.

Following his insightful presentation, Mr Mohammed received a resounding ovation from participants and was honoured with an award in recognition of his contributions to advancing digital enforcement in the transport sector.

The FCT DRTS remains committed to leveraging cutting-edge technologies for efficient road traffic management and enforcement, ensuring safer roads for all.
