The motoring public in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) is hereby notified of a partial closure of the service lane on the Kubwa Expressway, inbound to the city centre. This closure is necessary to facilitate the construction of retaining walls for the ongoing project at the Katampe Extension District area.
Traffic Advisory for Motorists:
- Accessing Wole Soyinka Way (N20):
- Motorists from Gwarinpa are advised to align along the expressway for a smooth transition.
- Temporary Access Road:
- A temporary access route has been created between the NNPC and Total Energies filling stations to provide entry to Wole Soyinka Way, Jahi, Ahmadu Bello Way, and Next Cash and Carry.
- Rejoining the Kubwa Expressway (ONEX):
- Motorists can use the designated U-turn on Wole Soyinka Way to connect through the urban shelter estates and merge back onto the expressway.
The Traffic Management Team of the DRTS, alongside other agencies, will be stationed on-site to ensure proper traffic flow and assist motorists in navigating the diversions.
The FCT Administration, in collaboration with the project contractor, is committed to completing this project promptly. Your cooperation and patience are greatly appreciated as these temporary measures are implemented to enhance the overall traffic infrastructure.
