On Wednesday, 13th November 2024, the FCT Directorate of Road Traffic Services (DRTS) held a retreat at the Area Council Service Commission, Garki, Abuja. The session provided an overview of the new E-Billing and Ticketing System, aimed at enhancing transparency in transactions and improving enforcement efficiency.
Opening remarks were delivered by the Director, Dr. Bello Abdul-Lateef; the head of Operations, Deputy Director Mrs. Deborah Osho Alaba; and the head of Legal Services, Deputy Director Mrs. Amade Mary lyoma, setting the tone for the event. The main presentations were led by the Head of ICT, Auwalu Mohammed, who outlined the system’s operational expectations.
The retreat emphasized reduced direct contact between enforcement officers and motorists, a shift expected to boost accuracy and limit risks.
Management reaffirmed their commitment to supporting all personnel in the transition to this new technology.
